A healthy twist on traditional Mathura Peda, perfect for the festive season! This recipe uses dry fruits and makhana, along with condensed milk and cardamom, coated in powdered sugar and garnished with pistachios and rose petals.
1. Dry roast Makahana, Almonds, Cashews, and Pistachios.
2. Once it cools down, grind it into coarse powder.
3. Now, in a non-stick pan on low flame, add ghee and once it melts, add the coarsed nuts and makhana powder along with desiccated coconut. Mix well!
4. Now add Condensed milk and cardamom powder and mix! Turn off the stove! (Be quick while adding condensed milk… we have to give little brown color to mixture and also need to roast makhana nuts mixture so add that first… and condensed milk later)
5. Mix everything well! The mixture will be a dough consistency!
6. Now make balls and flatten them! Put a thumbprint in the middle and coat in sugar!
7. Add chopped pistachios and dried rose petals! Enjoy.
